Character Limit in Cells

Hi,

I keep in encountering a problem in some of my spread sheets where I receive an error stating “Max 20 Characters Allowed” in the cells of one particular column. The spreadsheet was originally an Excel file that I downloaded for work related use. Is there any way to remove that limitation?

It looks like you may have set Data Validation on that column. To check this in LO/OO:-

  1. (select range of cells)
  2. Menu:-Data Validity... tab:Error Alert
  3. Is your error message in there?

If so, you can reverse/adjust the validation & alerts.
