How to delete recent documents or stop libre listing them

a few different people share this computer and it saves in recent documents the different titles .want to set it to remember nothing?

Easy Fix… Just remove it from your menu. ** Click Tools *** Click Customize *** Click Menus Tab on top of page that appears *** Under LibreOffice Writer Menus Click window arrow to reveal FILE *** Under Menu Content Highlight Recent Document *** Click the Arrow next to Modify *** Click Delete

VOILA…it tis gone… You can write your love letters with peace of mind…

thank you a lot

Did not work for me. History Master did the trick.

Removing Recent Documents from the menu does not address problem in Mac Dock. This is a very serious privacy and security flaw in LibreOffice for Mac. I keep a proprietary list of data for work that has to be kept encrypted. The decrypted document appears in the Mac Dock as a recent document and I am unable to delete the file from the recent documents in the Mac Dock. I tried History Master extension at http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/history-master but it does not delete the list.

I now know that the problem is that Apple does not have a menu option in the Dock settings to control recent items for an application in the Dock view. Apple needs to update the OS to include this feature in the Dock settings under System Preferences. I tried a workaround for this issue by locating the application bundle identifier for LibreOffice.app which is: org.libreoffice.script.LSSharedFileList. I ran the command in Terminal to delete the recent documents but it didn’t work.

I was able to get History Master OpenOffice extension to work. I think the problem was when I updated LibreOffice, the extension didn’t work. I opened the settings made sure the list is set to zero. It now works fine. Apple still needs to add a feature in the Dock settings to control recent items shown in the Dock.

I have found another way to delete this list on a mac that works for me. A few steps to follow:

1 Right Click the LibreOffice icon in the Dock and from the options, Remove Libre Office from the Dock.
2 Open a new Finder Window and find Library in the Home Folder.
3 Search for libreoffice in the Library Folder
4 Move org.libreoffice.script.sfl to the trash.
5 Open LibreOffice from the applications folder and the icon will reappear in the Dock
6 Right click the LibreOffice icon in the dock and the list of files will have gone. (Note. They will start to build there again as you open more documents.)
7 From the options, Add to Dock if you want to keep LibreOffice available from the Dock.
8 Repeat this process whenever you want to remove the file list from the LibreOffice icon in the Dock.
9 This will not affect the Recent Documents shown in the Startcenter in LibreOffice.

Suppress Recent Document List

Once I downloaded History master ( per your link )and installed as an add-on

Tools - Add-ons - History Master list handling - remove all items.
Perfect Thanks!

set list size to 0
and does not seem to save document now
