I have received a document that can only be opened in "read only" mode. I need to edit it before forwarding to a third party. How to do?

Hi Ow2lunch

Test that the file is not, actually, read-only (and yes, I've managed to do this in the past):-

:~$ touch test.file
:~$ chmod -w test.file
:~$ ls -al test.file
-r--r--r-- 1 alexK alexK 0 Oct 6 21:02 test.file

Even if you cannot convert it to read-write, when you open it LO should offer to open a copy of the file, which should be (hopefully) good enough.
