I just upgraded from 4.3 to 5.0 on my Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop.I have numerous printers available in Printers and Devices which were also available on 4.3, but the LibreOffice5 Print dialog box does not display any of them! I did a default upgrade, no customization.
Any ideas?
The 4.x Profile is re-used for 5.x installations. Try a reset:
“If you notice any strange behaviour on LibreOffice, or simply it fails to start, the first thing to try is to reset the user profile.”
- Shutdown LO/OO + Quickstarter
…and try again.
LO/OO is very prone to Profile Corruption. In the absence of an existing profile it is designed to re-create a new, default profile, and that neatly fixes many, many problems.

That fixed it. Seems that the Profile is too critical to be so fragile. Is there work being done to correct this?
None I know of.
