in calc, I’m getting logical results (true/false) instead of numeric results for simple formulas like =2/4
it worked fine until recently, possibly until the last upgrade (I’m on 4.4.5.2 now)

Maybe it’s inherited from cell above or a referenced cell, or using a formula that gives a boolean result, as e.g. IF(comparison;forTrue)
Use Menu/Format/Clear direct format [Ctrl+M] to restore cell format.
