Most likely you’re running 32-bit Window$ although your CPU supports 64-bit. Without installing 64-bit Window$ you can’t install 64-bit softwares.

Otherwise we got a bug.

Then we’ve got a bug because I’m running the 64bit version on a 64bit i3 processor on my Fujitsu laptop. :frowning:

Hi Ferruccio

That error message is saying that Libreoffice is unable to detect that your Atom cpu will support 64-bit instructions.

Looking at Wikipaedia I see that the x64 instruction set is not supported by Atom unless all sub-systems also support that chipset (and this assuming that the N455 supports it, for which I can find no confirmation).

Try the 32-bit package download & see if that will give you more joy.

If this helps then please tick the answer (:heavy_check_mark:)

I have been able to get passed the problem by making sure the program is completely uninstalled and then rebooting the computer.

Once restarted I have downloaded and installed the LO v5.0.2.x beta that’s available, and did not encounter the error anymore.

32-bit or 64-bit install? (and well done on fixing the issue).
