Footnotes continuing on the same line?

I have a document, where I have a lot of footnotes (usually 2-3 on each line of main text), but the footnotes are only 1-2 words long usually. (Essentially a critical apparatus).
(Writer 4.4.3.2 Mac OSX 10.10.3)

To conserve vertical space, I’d like footnotes to continue on the same line, such:

1 Footnote-text-1        2 Footnote-text-2        3 Footnote-text-3
4 This-is a somewhat longer Footnote-text-4        5 Footnote-text-5
6 Shorty        7 Normal-length        8 More footnotes

Is it possible to achieve this?
