Import/open SVG exported by same libreoffice draw is missing text

Hello, I wanted to use Draw for creating flowcharts to publish as SVG. I export the diagram as SVG. Close the document. Later I open the saved SVG to discover that the text has disappeared. In inkscape I can see the text but not in LibreOffice Draw.
Is it normal?
In addition connectors have been converted to simple lines. And dashed lines becomes lots of small lines. This behaviour results in that the original flowchart is impossible to modify, without having the source or redrawing.
Is that intended?

You will need to use a different workflow. Try saving the Draw file in the native (ODG) file format and export it to a non-native (e.g., SVG) file format for external use. LO Draw uses different filters for graphics when:

  • opening i.e., to be editable, in which case the graphic is translated to ODG.

  • importing i.e., to use as-is in the original graphic format (embedded in an ODG).

The two filters cater to different use cases / workflows and produce different results. There has been a recent discussion about combining the two filters on the Dev mailing list. It is not as straightforward as it might seem.
