Missing first row in Calc v5.0.2.2 English

Bug or feature? Added a background, informative row above my title (first) row in a Calc ODS format spreadsheet. Grouped just that first row so I could hide it under most circumstances. After closing and reopening spreadsheet, the group expand(+) or hide (-) symbol is no longer there at the boundary of the row at the top. No matter what I do, the spreadsheet only has row 2 as the first row. Have the window with frozen split panes and page breaks and print area set. Row 1 is never visible. Even if I unfreeze; ungroup; and remove all print range areas on the whole spreadsheet. Still row 1 not visible. Same thing in page break view; no row 1. Print out, PDF export, HTML export: all no row 1. Even if Print range set and includes row 1, still no row 1. If I save as a .csv, I see the row there in that text file. That is the only way I ever see it currently. How do I make Row 1 visible again? (BTW, I have ungrouped the whole spreadsheet and the Row does not return to visibility.)

P.S. maybe because of this issue, I do now notice that always, while trying to horizontal scroll through the spreadsheet, that LibreOfficeCalc crashes and has to recover. Pretty much every time I horizontal scroll if the top row 2 is visible on the screen. Scrolling by dragging scroll bar at bottom or using arrow keys.

Maybe the option Menu/Tools/Options/LIbreOffice calc/View -Outline symbols is disable.

On other side, selecting row 2 and up, right-click Show, the row is visible again.

Outline symbols enabled. When still grouped, can see other column / row group symbols.
I can select even the whole spreadsheet and select to Show. No help. Thanks for trying. Frustrating as all …

Finally figured the trick to do it. Selected visible Row 2 and grouped it singly. Then clicked its icon to re-show that group. It grabbed row 1 into the group and reshows both properly. Clearly two bug’s. No longer able to see group icon when reopening. And crashing Calc when horizontal scrolling and first row not visible. But at least a work-around now.
