Recently upgraded, have 2 spreadsheets, one has one cell “linked” to a cell in the other.
How they were linked:
Linked by using = in a cell, and then clicking on the cell needed to link to in the other (source) spreadsheet.
also tried
Copied cell from source spreadsheet, and then paste special into the destination spreadsheet cell.
I’ve linked OLE object spreadsheets into a document, and in the past, these linked spreadsheet would automatically update as they were opened by the document, so current data was always inserted.
Now, after upgrading, no automatic updating occurs, and when I choose [edit]>[link], the manual option is selected, and both the manual and automatic options are dimmed and disabled.
FYI, have gone into [tools][options][calc][general} and set “update links when opening” to always.
Even rebooted PC after to no avail.
Any help to set these links to automatically update will be appreciated, have invested a lot of effort into this for work purposes.
