Is it possible to have variables in Impress?

I'm doing a presentation which contains lots references to files, they have silly names for the first iteration (myfile, myfile2...). As the presentation matures I ted to see better naming schemes for the files ( conf-template, conf-implemented ...). Is there a way to use some form of variables to do something like ( $basename-template, $basename-implemented )?

I'm using LibreOffice version 5.0.0.5. I'm referencing Impress, I've seen that Writer has:

Insert - Fields - More Fields - Variables
