LO version 4.4.6.3 quits unexpectedly immediately after opening

Ever since updating my software to OS X 10.11, LibreOffice quits unexpectedly when I try to open it. Can you help me diagnose why this is happening? Please let me know if you need any additional information.

My computer: MacBook Pro, OS X 10.11.1 (El Capitan). Below is the error report to Apple:

same happens (suddenly) to me on OS X 10.10.5, MacBook Pro. Tried reinstalling JAVA, older and latest LE versions, setting Gatekeeper, no help. LE quits immediately after opening… LE worked before, some update (don’t know which one) caused this.

I found a solution for my problem behaving the same way (OS X 10.10.5). Try this: Utilities → Disk Utility : Verify Disk Permissions and Repair Disk Permissions. Some update or something (recently) affected permissions.

Thanks for the tip. I tried that and unfortunately it didn’t work for me. Still having issues.
I should mention that when I downloaded OS X El Capitan, to further increase the speed of my computer I removed unnecessary languages with Monolingual. Would that affect LibreOffice?
Here are all the things I’ve tried:

  • redownloaded LibreOffice application
  • redownloaded Java runtime environment
  • restarted computer
  • verified disk permissions and repaired disk permissions
