I need to be able to use monotype corsiva fonts. This a must have font as I need to match documents printed with this font
Whatever fonts are available in your OS are available to LO. So, if the Monotype is installed within your OS you will be able to make use of it. If not, then not.
That font is included with MS Office 2003, 2007, and 2010 (and separate applications from those).
So find a system with one of those installed.
