Should'nt calc use the same date interpretation as base?

I was exporting a rather big table from Base to Calc (which almost brings calc to a halt!) and I experienced that a date of dd.mm.1915 was in calc after the import changed to dd.mm.2015. Am I missing some settings?

May be related to Tools▸Options▸LibreOffice▸General▸Year (two digits)?

Successful workaround according to my tests:

• Open the table (Base)
• Right click the date column header▸Column Format▸select a 4 digit year format
• Select & copy the data▸Paste in Calc: years not changed…
