Csv import number as text

I imported a CSV. It leaves all numbers as text. In the import wizard, there is a column type for “text” but no column type for “number”. How can I get LibreOffice Calc to recognize, say, “1605” as a number and not text?

With Column type Standard Calc recognize numbers.

Of course numbers must be real numbers (eg. 1605 and not 16O5) and should use the decimal separator appropriate to your locale.

For example, with a French (France) UI (decimal comma separated) you must choose “US English” type for numbers using the decimal point.
