I just updated to version 5 , hoping that would solve my problem. I am trying to save text documents.
“You cannot save here. Choose another location.” is the standard alert of recent Windows versions if someone tries to save a document under a new name in the pseudo-folder (virtual folder) offering quick acces to recently created or edited files.
(I reopened the question because there was a new answer to it. As I sse it, that answer may be misleading. I would like to encourage user wit specifically complete knowledge of windows to clear the issue finally.)

had the same problem and although my understanding of software is very limited, the solution was lying within Windows Defender.
The Windows Defender and especially the Ransomware Protection were blocking all the standard Files that could be used for saving.
So: try going to your Antivirus (eg. Windows Defender) and make sure you deactivate the Ransomware Protection.
It worked in my case.
