How can I delete the header or footer in only certain pages?

I have headers and footers, but I need to add full page or nearly full page images to certain pages. How do I get the header and footer (and the margins probably too) out of the way of the image on only certain pages?

I have been trying to do it by going into “format” and opening “title page”, adding a title page at a specified page number, and changing the settings of the page added to be without headers, footers, or margins. But I am thinking that doing that is causing others problems.

Is there a way to simply change the style of a page? Would this fix my problem?

You need to add a new page style based on the current one you are using. assuming you are using the DEFAULT STYLE. Open the STYLE and FORMATTING window, (F11) select Styles and Formatting, then PAGE STYLES. Right click to select NEW, give a new name say NoFooter. Select FOOTER tab and turn off footer. If it is just a single page, choose DEFAULT STYLE as the next page. Select OK and you can now turn the footer on and off page by page.

The Writer Guide section 6 and 7 gives very useful information on the use of styles.

If you are inserting large images, make certain that you adjust the LibO memory settings, as the default settings are not suitable. In Linux TOOLS > OPTIONS > MEMORY… hope this helps…Peter
