Why do I get a fatal error when I try to insert a special character?

I am using a Dell tablet running windows10. I get fatal errors and crashes randomly while using writer or calc.

Smells like data corruption in RAM or while in transit. In any case, not the normal issues.

I just recently downloaded and I get the same thing when I wander into special characters.

There was a bug for LibreOffice 5.0.0, solved now.
