Saved power point slide presentation. When reopened all slides lost formatting. Text outside the slide, wrong font size, alignment of text lost. Can't seem to fix it. Saved as pptx. What do I do?

Hi, when I import LO impress to PowerPoint I have similar troubles with the format. There is changed layout: I cannot change text but I can add objects, there are lost multilevel bullets etc. Can you help me? I use LO on Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. Thank you very much!

  1. The general suggestion for most of these cases is to save the document as an ODP, an open document presentation, which gets rid of most of the formatting errors regarding LibreOffice and MS Powerpoint. Do the above and then open the document in LibreOffice, and there should no longer be formatting errors as described above.

  2. Alternatively, try opening the powerpoint (as a .PPTX) in updated versions of Microsoft Office, if you have it. I know that the 365 version has fixed most compatibility issues with LibreOffice, especially past LibreOffice 5.
