Hi there,

Does LibreOffice (and especially Calc) act exactly the same way on all operating systems?

For example, when I create a spreadsheet in Calc in a Windows version of LibreOffice, will this spreadsheet function properly and in the exact same way in for example an iOS or Linux based version of LibreOffice?

Let's put it this way: everything works, but addons are easily platform-specificalthough I've seen most 3rd-party addons being platform-independent. If you get cross-platform incompatibility, open a new report at

I don't use any add-ons. Let's say I install the newest LO on a Windows machine, and my neighbour installs the newest LO on his Mac. Now I create a complicated spreadsheet with formulas and styles. Can my neighbour open this spreadsheet on his Mac and will it behave exactly the same as in my Windows version of LO?

Assuming same LO version, no difference.
