From the release notes of 3.5.0: "For Windows users that have LibreOffice prior to version 3.4.5 installed, either uninstall that beforehand, or upgrade to 3.4.5. Otherwise, the upgrade to 3.5.0 may fail."

I'd personally upgrade by uninstalling 3.4 rather than updating it. The problem with the latter is that you'd have to download roughly twice the amount of data compared to the former option, just so you can install 3.5.

Online Update has been introduced with LibO 3.5.0

The online update feature only exists once you have upgraded to 3.5, but doesn't help you upgrade to 3.5 from pre-3.5 versions.

That's exactly what I have written (risking another downvote with this comment)
