I’m using Libre Office v.4.4.7.2 and Win 7. When I reopen a document the image does not load. Just a place frame with ‘Read_error’. What is the remedy?
Thanks for request. They are *.doc or *.docx files I’m sent. They are logos. Anchored to character. Scaled down from original size. No image file-type given. Sometimes when I reopen they reappear !
Please edit the question to indicate more detail on the format of the image, how it was inserted, etc.
Thanks for providing the additional details. It sounds similar to bug tdf#66097 although it is difficult to tell without an example. That bug is currently in NEEDINFO status. Try starting LO from the command line, open the file and check if the messages written to the console match those in comment 7. If they do, please comment in the bug that you have the same problem. A small sample file would help. Bug tdf#95780 may be the same problem.
If the image with the read error is linked then it may be bug tdf#95614.
Thanks and noted. They now seem to open !!! Also with cmd line I’m at the limit of my techie skills 
If the problem reoccurs I’ll return and probably upload the offending file.
