How do you edit format control characters i.e. line-feed [new line], new paragraph, insert-tab

I have a lengthy document which I "copied’ from a PDF file. Every line ends with a Paragraph mark. In MSWord, it is possible to edit a document in order to remove the unwanted “new paragraph” marks as well as line-feed and “insert-tab” controls.

What is the syntax for these kinds of operations in LibreOffice.

You can use Menu/Edit/Find & Replace using regular expressions, search in the help for “regular expressions” to find more information about it

Also there is a good extension to this kind of task “Alternative dialog find replace for writer”, it has more options than the inner Find&Replace.
