Is there a word count option on libre office 3 ?
The oldest version ever of LibreOffice was V3.3 of 2011-01-25. I doubt if there will be someone here still using it.
Counting words should only be implemented in ‘Writer’ anyway.
For Writer documents you find statistics in >‘File’ > ‘Properties’ > tab ‘Statistics’.
In recent versions of Writer (at least) concise statistics also counting words is shown in the status bar for the currently selected text.

Just had a look into old V3.3.
For Writer documents it is offering statistics via > ‘Tools’ > ‘Word Count’.
