Writer crashes when viewing fonts

When I open Writer and click on Fonts and start scrolling up from below, it crashes at a particular Font. It is a Windows System Font named ‘Latha’.
I am using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. As a temporary solution I have had to turn off Font Preview. Is there any real and permanent solution to this?

I have never had this problem until with the most recent build (5.1.2.2). I don’t know exactly what’s causing it. I installed LibreOfice on a brand new, clean system running Windows 10. No crashes occur with installed programs and the fonts they install. But, the second I manually install a font, it crashes when I get to that font in the list. I have installed a single font at a time with over 100 fonts of various types (otf, ttf, adobe), and they all cause the crash. I can uninstall, and stops.

I just discovered something else that might be an issue. The fonts in the list that cause the crash aren’t actually installed in Windows Font directory. They don’t show up in any other program, and aren’t under the Fonts folder. Not sure how to fix that.

Hi

I have encountered this problem with older versions (see tdf#37449).

I do not reproduce it with Windows 7/64, LibreOffice 5.1 and “Latah”. Could you indicate what version of LibreOffice you use?

Regards

I’m using win7 , 32bit , LO Version: 5.0.5.2 ,
and i can not reproduce the problem .
