How to show colour background when converting to pdf?

Hi all,

I’ve designed a poster in Writer, complete with images, (white) coloured text and a blue gradient coloured background.

Currently, if I go File > Export as .pdf, the resultant .pdf has black text on a white background. My text boxes (captions for the photos and a title) don’t show up either.

The text is currently formatted such that it is in two columns, with the margins set to 0". The size of the document is A4 and it’s orientated portrait (I’m not sure if any of this makes a difference).

I did manage to export it before (with background etc intact), but this functionality seems to have gone with the poster now having more text.

Is this a bug? Any suggestions for a fix?

By text boxes you mean insert → textbox, i.e. the shape that can only contain a limited amount of formatting, not the full insert → frame feature set?

If so, I’ve implemented pdf export of such backgrounds in those Draw textboxes, see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105461. The whiteboard field of that bugreport contains the various versions that first contain that fix.
