How to make embedded videos play full size on entire screen area

Hi everybody,

I used to expand the embedded videos to overlap the slidesheets to play in full screen size.
On my new dell xps13 skylake DE, libreoffice 5.0 and ubuntu 14.04 the video playback in full screen mode doesn’t work anymore. When starting a presentation the embedded videos will only start in original size, no matter what size I expanded them to.
Is there any way to make videos play in extra full screen size by default? Is expanding them the only way to do so? Is there a problem with the proportion of the video area?

Hope someone has an idea about this… thx in advance
Cheers

I found an interesting information. My system uses intels new skylake processor with integrated graphic HD520. My resolution is full hd (no 1920x1080) non touch.
In the following link the fullscreen problem in vls media player was solved and also worked for me:

the guy changes the automatic video output to ‘X11-Videoausgabe (XCB)’ and now videos play full screen. I couldn’t find a solution in impress yet.

Does anybody know a way to modify the video output in impress (not automatic)
Does the mediaplayer have a settings menu? gstreamer settings?

Found out it is a skylake hd520 graphics problem with ubuntu. Either it will be solved in upcoming kernel ubdates or you can find a workaround on github for ubuntu 14.04 based desktops. Worked for me. Not everything consistently but I will set up a new presentation now.
