HI, I’ve used Libreoffice to create a number of forms for my work using form controls but I’ve hit a wall trying to integrate a date field. There is an option for it in form controls ‘More Controls’ which if I select ‘drop down’ under Control>General creates a calendar picker with an option to select ‘today’ and have the date populate the date field. The problem I have is that when I create the PDF form this does not translate and the date field is converted to a standard text box. Is there a way around this?

The Acrobat PDF format does not support a date picker by default. There are third party add-ins for for the full Acrobat program and it can be done using JavaScript. If you use Writer to create a PDF form then it is not possible. If you search for date picker in PDF you will see the what is available.
