Hi,

I am working on a presentation which has around 100 slides. The total filesize of the presentation is around 5 MB. When I try to duplicate a slide using copy/paste, it takes more than 2 minutes for the operation. It is really frustrating me. I am not sure why it is taking so much time. My system has 16 GB of RAM and 4.4 GHz CPU. I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration and anti-aliasing but that hasn't helped. My presentation does have lots of figures that I have copied from pdf but that was not a problem with the older versions of libreoffice as far as I can recall. I am currently using version 4.4.

EDIT: The problem only seems to occur on Ubuntu (I am using 16.04). If I switch to libreoffice on windows, there is no problem with copy/paste/insertion of slides.

I had the same problem. It was solved after removing libreoffice-gnome and libreoffice-gtk and libreoffice-gtk3 (if installed), and restarting LO.

GUI looks a bit different afterwards but works well.

I found the solution here (for a similar problem): http://askubuntu.com/questions/785417...
