I am working on a presentation which has around 100 slides. The total filesize of the presentation is around 5 MB. When I try to duplicate a slide using copy/paste, it takes more than 2 minutes for the operation. It is really frustrating me. I am not sure why it is taking so much time. My system has 16 GB of RAM and 4.4 GHz CPU. I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration and anti-aliasing but that hasn’t helped. My presentation does have lots of figures that I have copied from pdf but that was not a problem with the older versions of libreoffice as far as I can recall. I am currently using version 4.4.
EDIT: The problem only seems to occur on Ubuntu (I am using 16.04). If I switch to libreoffice on windows, there is no problem with copy/paste/insertion of slides.
