LibreOffice crashes by keying in some Thai character sequence

LibreOffice 3.5 will crash if keying in some specific pattern of mixed Thai and English texts.

Other minor problem with Thai characters:

  1. Cell content starting with Thai character is displayed as right aligned. It should be left-aligned.
  2. Some character combinations cause Input Line, Tab name, Style name… to display strange characters.
  3. Some long mixed Thai-English text are displayed with wrongly-spaced characters at the Input Line.

I’m using Windows 7 Professional, LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3

Since posting this question I learned that a crash is considered a bug and should be reported at BugZilla. I have reported it as Bug #46923 (#fd46923) and attached the file to the bug report.

Thank you for reporting a bug! I integrated all your comments and removed the direct link to the external file, which should make this question more visible & helpful to others. I’ve also added the tag “reported-bug”. You mat want to file bug reports for the minor issues too.

Thank you very much for helping and guiding a new comer like me in reporting this bug. I have included the minor issues together in the bug report, since they are all related to Thai character sequences to give the developer more info, hoping these issues will all be solved in one go.

@Prayad:
Can you confirm that that is fixed for 3.5.2?
