I had a myDefault.ott template set as default that worked well. I recently started a new document based on it and customized the document to a customer’s liking, changing some styles, their font sizes, etc. Now, when I start a new document in Writer, what I get for default text is Table content which is 9 pt Times New Roman, which I never intended. I have set both Text Body and Default Style to what I want to be the default style i.e. 12 pt Times New Roman. What is the solution to this?
Open the default template for editing. Change the first empty paragraph to the paragraph style you want as the default.
