Pasting a row from a writer table into a table of another document

I am using Version: 5.0.4.2 under OpenSuse. When I copy a row of a table in a .doc or .docx file in Writer and attempt to paste it into a similar table in another Writer document of the same type, the separate cells do not get pasted into corresponding cells of the destination window. Rather, it seems to paste as a separate table within the first cell of the destination table. As an example, if I copy this row from one document:
, when it gets pasted into a separate document it appears as

I have tried using Crtl-V and also the various Paste-special options, but I cannot get the cells to go into the separate cells of the destination document. This used to work without problem with earlier versions of LibreOffice.

I can’t reproduce with 5.0.6.2.

I have upgraded to 5.1.3.2 (still under OpenSuse) and the problem persists. I removed the folder .config/libreoffice before testing, to ensure that I was using the default configuration rather being possibly affected by any changes that I had made previously under “options”.

Note that I am able to copy a row in a table and paste without problem into another row of the same table or even a different table in the same document. The problem only arises if the destination table is in a different document.
