Print working in windows 10 for all other programs except Libreoffice

@mariosv I reset the user profile but still can’t print :frowning:

I’m with Win10 since a year, and never have had this issue. Does it happen on an user with administrative rights?

@mariosv Yes, the user is administator.

Is LibreOffice the unique application with the problem?

@mariosv Yes. I can print with any other application. The same problem is occurring in another system pre installed with windows 10

Can you try backing down to LO 5.0.6? 5.1 is “Stable”, 5.0.6 is “Still” and recommended for corporate use because of it’s long history and so many problems have been solved.

Then try going to the printer manager in windows an select one as default.

What happens trough Menu/File/Printer settings?

@mariosv Please see the second image, “No default printer found.” But when opening print window, the default printer is pre-selected as shown in the first image

Just have checked with fake printer installed to a local nul: port with drivers bundled with Windows, and it works OK. Xerox site states that drivers for Win8+ for this product are bundled with OS.

The questions are: which driver do you use; how do you connect it (using TCP/IP; using Windows printer sharing; locally via USB etc.)

Also it might be wise to go to windows system logs and take a look at error messages.

@mikekaganski The driver was preinstalled with OS and printer connected using USB cable

you have to get it through the settings, that’s if you have the printer turned on

Yes, the printer is already turned on and working for all other programs except LO

I downloaded and installed LO for OS Windows x86 instead of Windows x86_64. Now print is working fine.

There was bug https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109281 now solved.

I took your solution of using the x86 version; but only worked when I changed all the fonts to Arial; I was using a Philosopher opentype font. Perhaps changing fonts may help some with this issue. Sounds strange to me, that changing the font would allow the documents I could not print, to immediately print with no problem. I sure hope this helps someone else. I have been working and searching for a couple of months for a fix.
