Windows 10 automatically installed itself to my Laptop Friday, removing my restore points and my MS Office. I am through with MS. I am looking to replace this with LibreOffice and read on the Internet that LO has different programs and versions. I need some advice as to which would be best for me. I used to use Excel, Publisher, and Word often. Any advice? Thanks in advance

Although LibreOffice comes in many versions, only two should interest you (others are either older or less stable as alpha or beta versions).

LibreOffice Still is the stable version that has undergone more testing (over a longer time) (click here).

LibreOffice Fresh is the stable version with the most recent features. Users interested in taking advantage of the most innovative features should download and use the fresh version (click here).

This page (click here) has other links such as a comparison between LO and MS Office 2016.

And finally, this page (click here) contains a variety of documentation.

Scribus is one alternative to Publisher. Not sure how it compares.
