How can I change F1 shortcut?

In shortcut settings, F1 is grayed out. It looks like it can’t be reassigned. Is there any way to reassign it to another function?

What OS are you using?

@vico Linux

The key F1 is used as a shortcut to Help so I guess that is why it cant be reassigned.

It’s a sensible reason, but I keep hitting it by mistake thinking I’m using Inkscape, then a web browser pops up and covers everything.

There are a number of free tools that will allow you to disregard the keyboard key when that app is active. I can think of Autohotkey for Windows. There should be similar tools for Mac and Linux.

Interesting I hadn’t considered that. I will look into it.
