I have two large presentations prepared in Impress on Linux. They will ultimately have to be shown in PowerPoint on Windows. Even when I move the files from Linux to Windows and try opening them in the update Impress (5.1.4) I get memory errors. I was able to convert them on Linux to PP '97 and run them on a Windows PP-Viewer. . But with the 2007 .pptx it did not work. Are there known problems in moving .odt/.pptx files from Linux to Windows?

What is the exact error you are getting? Most likely you have included photos or videos that didn't get transferred along with the presentation, causing LibreOffice to issue errors.
