I use a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.11.6 and the latest version of Libreoffice. I have a database I use monthly to put out a newsletter. I last used it successfully about a month ago. Today I tried to print a newsletter merging data from the database and libreoffice said that I did not have a Java Run Environment. When I went into preferences -> advanced there was no Java Run Environment listed. I have no idea what happened to the one I had last month. I downloaded and installed Java and now "Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_102" is listed as an available Java Run Environment. I selected it. Now, whenever I try to print a merged document or try to actually open the database Libreoffice immediately crashes. How can I fix it?

I am having a similar issue, running LO 5.14.2 and Mac OS X 10.11.5 and Java 1.8.0-102: I am trying to create a new database with LO Base but LO crashes when I select "Tables". I am new to LO so any help is appreciated.
