LibreOffice 5.2 Base ODBC

I need to connect to a 32-bit database (ctree).
I installed LO 5.2 - 32-bit.
I installed Java 1.7 - 32-bit.
Selected 32-bit Java in Options.
Steps:

  • Connect to existing database
  • ODBC
  • Data Source FairCom 32 bit driver
  • Test Connection - successful
Cannot see tables or do queries.
I am not familiar with the creation of New Database even though I want to connect to existing database.

Suggestions?

Try to first configure the ODBC connection totally in your operating system. (What is your operating system?) You should find information how to do it in the documentations of FairCom, perhaps http://docs.faircom.com/doc/odbc/toc.htm. Or have you done that already?

What is your operating system, and version? What ODBC connectors are you using, and versions? etc. FYI, I am also trying to get ODBC w/ Base to work on linux. I can get unixODBC working (and test w/ isql or the like), but when I try to access it via base, base errors, and/or crashes. (Base 5.2.2.2). Debian 8.6.

He EasyTrieve, I’m working on Windows 7, 32bit. It is the “ODBC-Administrator”, which comes with Windows.

Uninstall Java 7 and get JDK 8u102 (currently newest).
