I tried to update to the latest version and now I have nothing.
“Error 1335, cabinet file libreoffice1.cab is corrupt” is the message I got ‘Retry’ and ‘ignore’ didn’t work, so I had to cancel out. Unfortunately it also eliminated my previous version of Libre Office and now I have no program to open my existing documents. Help would be greatly appreciated. I can’t understand why this happened or how to fix it. My computer knowledge is fairly limited. From what I can tell, I don’t seem to have any Libre Office files anymore.
Suggestions?
It could be that the file download did not complete correctly. Try downloading the install file again, make sure you select the correct download to suit your operating system. After downloading new copy just try running the install again.
Edit:
If you still have a problem let us know which operating system and which version you downloaded and someone with similar operating system might be able to confirm the download.
After downloading check with at least one of the published hash sums that they match, see file information for LibreOffice_5.2.0_Win_x86.msi or LibreOffice_5.2.0_Win_x64.msi depending on which version you need.
You can do so at MD5 File - HTML5 File Hash Online Calculator - MD5, SHA1, SHA2 (SHA-256), SHA-384, SHA-512 if you don’t know how to do it locally on your computer (and Windows lacks the tools…)
