How do I determine I use the 32-bit or the 64-bit version?

Due to a Java compatible issue, I need to determine whether I’m using the 32, or 64-bit version of LibreOffice. Anyone knows how to find out?

That information is in fact missing from the ‘About LibreOffice’.

Are you running LO in a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system?

The Win build of V5.2 is now giving the information via ‘About LibreOffice’. “(x64)” appended to the version number in my case.

In my case I am running v5.2.0.4 on win7 32bit and there is no trace of such info. It displays:

Version: 5.2.0.4
Build ID: 066b007f5ebcc236395c7d282ba488bca6720265
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default;

I am unsure what the Win6.1 is about…
Could we not track the 32/64bit info using the build ID?

Under Win10 I got
“Version: 5.2.0.4 (x64)
Build ID: 066b007f5ebcc236395c7d282ba488bca6720265”
You see, the build identifier does not distinguish the data width.
Most people will, however, preserve their installer, will they not? The name will then tell the version.

How can I download a 64 bit Libre office ?

Coming to the download paage via libreoffice.org you find a link showing “change?” next to the heading “Main Installer”. Using it you will get offer also a “Windows x86_64 (Vista or newer required)” option.
For older versions you need to go to the LibreOffice download archive.

I’m doing it now. But, I have a 64 bit system running Win 7. Will it work for me? EDIT: Also I am doing a complete re-install of the 32 bit LO. I have started a base and have several calc files created in 32 bit. Will they run OK in the 64 bit app.?EDIT:Tried it.They{FF/Java) don’t play well together. Back to 32.

Thought I’d add this tid bit. I downloaded Java,FF and LO (64")'s. Had to point to the (64) Java for LO to work. End result is that it corrupted FF to the point it wouldn’t open some embedded links. Windows would not uninstall.Lucky I have a couple of other utilities that got the job done. Then had to delete all the folders left behind(mozilla, appdata, etc. Didn’t see any difference w/LO(64) on my 64 bit Win7 Pro. Back to 32bit versions.

I assume you are running 64 bit Windows OS as you could not run a 64 bit program in a 32 bit OS.
Open LibreOffice. Look in Task Manager. All 32 bit programs will have (32) after the program name (64 bit have nothing).

Check if the LibreOffice folder is in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). If LibreOffice is in the latter, it’s 32 bits.
