Insert a cell content in a text area or in a shape?

Hello,
I would like to insert the content of a cell in a text area or a shape.
For instance put the value of C9 from sheet “formula” into a text area ?

What kind is the target document? Writer, Draw, Impress? Do you want, that the target will update, when the value in the cell is changed? Do you work on Windows?

You could try using a List Box.

From the menu View, Toolbars, Form Controls to show the toolbar.

Select List Box and draw the outline on the worksheet. This should then show the list box wizard. Cancel the wizard.

Right click the box and select Control. This should show Properties: List Box.

Select the data tab and in Source Cell Range box you can give a cell reference to use for content of the List box.
