Libreoffice Base JRE "missing"

Hy everyone,

I recently bought an Imac and a windows laptop. With the laptop i got MS Acces but that doesn’t work on OSX. I heard libreoffice was a good replacement but now i have a problem:

I want to create a simple database with all our members in it. As I installed libreoffice I tried to create a table and it said that my Java runtime environment was missing. I am 100% sure that i installed java repeatedly so I’m quiet desparate at this moment. I already read something about that you needed a 32 bit JRE but i cant find that. Could anyone please help me ?

Hope you guys know the answer.

Yanni, you need to install a complete JDK, a JRE by itself is no longer recognized. Additionally, for JDK versions greater than 1.8.0_99 (e.g. 101, 102) , you will need LibreOffice 5.2.1 or 5.1.6. You may also need to tell LibreOffice where to find the installed JDK once you have installed it, by pointing to it specifically under LibreOffice > Preferences > Advanced.

Ciao, download and install this Java version: Scarica - Java per OS X 2017-001
