Missing menu entries with libreoffice 3.6.3 in kubuntu 12.04

I removed libreoffice 3.5.4 in my kubuntu 12.04 installation, and then I manually installed the deb packages for 3.6.3 from the libreoffice site.
The installation was successful but the menu entries are totally missing, even if the kde integration package was installed. The file association with .odt .ods .odp etc… is missing also! Even if I right click on a .odt file and try “open with” I don’t find LibreOffice Writer as an option.
The program can only be opened by manually writing
/opt/libreoffice3.6/program/soffice
in a console.
Am I missing something or the 3.6.3 build is in some way broken for kubuntu?

Thanks for any possible help
