Excel sheets won't calculate in LibO Calc

Had Office, it uninstalled and I cant re install as out of town. Computer repair installed LibreOffice. I am able to open and read my existing documents however the Excel spreadsheet will not calculate. In simplest terms, How do I fix? I keep reading similar questions on this site “Closed” by Alex Kemp, However I am unable to find his answer on how to fix this issue, Please, can anyone help me with this
Thanks

Not directly related to your question, but if you make changes to your office documents with LibreOffice I would recommend that you save to a new file name, as there is some possibility that not all features of microsoft office files will be saved correctly by LibreOffice.

Wondering if it has something to do with rights (I’ve had some Excel Files open in read only mode). Can you enter data at all? If not, are you able to go into edit mode?

If you press F9, does it calculate?
If it does, check if Data > Calculate > AutoCalculate is flaged.

If not flag it.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. I pressed F9 it did not calculate, How do I flag it?
Thanks

Ctrl+Shift+F9 should force complete recalculation of all sheets.

Besides the @akurery answer,

test if setup the option: Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Formula - Recalculation on file load Excel 2007 and newer to always recalculate, solves your issue.

or

a hard recalc [Ctrl+Shift+F9]

Thank you to all who have responded. I have tried all of these suggestions, Unfortunately, None have resolved the issue. I am on Libre Office 5.2 if that makes any difference. Thank you for your time in this.

What are the cells failing to calculate showing? If there are formulae instead of results, it may be an issue of the ‘Numbers’ format of the cells or of the option ‘Tools’ > ‘LibreOffice Calc’ > ‘View’ > ‘Display’ > ‘Formulae’. It must not be checked.
