Why is there no background tab in page styles

Please help me.
A very very long time ago,I somehow got purple for the background color. It prints out white, not purple.
Every help answer leads me to a background tab in page styles under styles and formatting. I don’t have a background tab.
I have changed every color area I could find to white. I haven’t found one that is purple. If I could find that, then no problem. I would just change that back to white. I have no idea where I was when I changed it to purple. I only wanted the purple for that document. It is purple in every new document I open.
There was a lot going on, so I haven’t been able to get back to finding the answer until now.
Please someone, show me the way to fix this.

For your information: the name of the Background tab of the page styles dialog box has been changed to “Area”.

In Styles and Formatting, under “Area,” I can select a color but it does not color in the margins too, which is what I want.

Any more thoughts?

Take a look in the menu “Tools”, “Options”, expand “LibreOffice” and select “Application colours”.

That worked, it worked!!!
I didn’t bookmark this page and had a time finding it. Memory isn’t great anymore! LOL
However, I definitely wrote this answer down for future reference.
Thank you so very much!

In “Options,” I don’t see a section called “Application colors.” Nor could I find any section that has options for color except under LibreOffice Writer/Web there is a “Background” setting. However, I chose a background color but the color does not appear in my document.
