Unable to open Microsoft office files in libre office

I am trying to open using double click on my microsoft office files like xlsx, xls, doc, docx in libre office it does not open . while I need first open the libre office cals or writer application then I have to given path to MS office files then it will open . I have set the default extension in default program still it does not work.

please help me in this.

Right-click the file, "open with...", "choose default program".

Did you set the default to soffice.exe, swriter.exe, scalc.exe etc? All should be in the program sub directory of your LibreOffice install.
