How to scroll one line

Now that there are no arrows at either end of the scroll bars, how can I scroll a spreadsheet one line or column at a time by key combination or mouse click ?
Can I create a custom key combination to do this ?

Which OS and version of LibreOffice?

Arrows are still present on scrollbars in all versions I have used, up to 5.2.2.2 x64 on Windows 8.1.

Try reset of user profile, its possible some setting has been modified or corrupted.

Close all LibreOffice applications.

Browse to the folder:- C:\UsersYourUserName\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4

Rename the “user” folder to “userOLD” or similar.

Restart LibreOffice and it should create a new user folder with all default settings.

You can copy some of the subfolders back to restore basic macros etc.

Add comment if still a problem.

thanks for the suggestion
I’m using debian 8 or LMDE 2 linux with gnome 3 or Cinnamon desktop and LO Calc 4.3.3.2 (same problem on both desktops)
perhaps its a feature of windows in the gnome desktop ?
I have a screen shot but not sure how to attach it

Did you try to reset user profile? I just upvoted your question, should add enough karma points to allow you to upload screenshot. Use Edit tag just below your question and you should see insert picture option in the icons at the top of the text edit area.

In xubuntu/Mint the arrows are visible or not depending upon the desktop style chosen - not a LibreOffice setting.

Nothing to do with calc, it’s a gnome feature. The ‘stepper’ arrows can be added back in. The following link shows how to do it for both gtk2 and gtk3 under Mint.

this worked successfully for me on my LMDE box, the changes for gtk3 are necessary for gnome windows, the changes for gtk2 seemed to be necessary for Libre Office.

Under Debian the gnome configuration is apparently “coded-in” for the default Adwaita theme. Nevertheless I was able to get stepper arrows back for Libre Office by using the Mint hack and adding the recommended fragment into the (blank) gtkrc file. I haven’t made the gtk3 hack work for Debian yet. There doesn’t seem to be a gtk-widgets.css file either in the Adwaita or Default theme folder. I created one with the recommended fragment in it, but no luck yet.
