Calc link to web data- passing login values?

I’m trying to link to data on a web page that likely needs a login user name and password. I think this is the problem because when I enter the page link and select HTML_tables I get “The link could not be updated.” but when I select HTML_all I get the html data surrounding the table (which also shows the login link).

Is there a way to pass my login data to the web link, or a way to get the data via programming? Clearly my first choice is NOT to have to write code.

May be could help setting up the option:

Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Security - Persistently save passwords for web connections -

Thanks for this tip. I had not seen it as a setting. I tried to set it up but couldn’t because the web page I’m trying to connect to must not send a login request back to Calc. I think it (the page) needs to see the login info from some type of cookie before showing the data rather than asking for a user/password automatically. I’m not sure how I might be able to have Calc recognized as “logged in”. Perhaps it’s just not possible?

same problem. was it resolved?
