Language version vs. language pack

Hi guys,

I have 3 questions. Maybe someone can answer.

1) When a new version of LibreOffice is released ... is this version released in all languages at the same time?

For example when LibreOffice 5.3 is released in English, does it mean that all other languages are at version 5.3 as well? Or could for example LibreOffice Germany still be at version 5.2 at that same time?

2) When I install the English version, during install I can choose other languages / language packs for the program itself. I was wondering if there is a difference between the use of a language pack and the specific version for that language. For example ... is there a difference if I use the German version of LO versus the English version of LO with German language pack?

3) Final question. Do all different language versions act exactly the same? Will a spreadsheet that works fine in the English version, also work fine in the German version?

Thanks in advance!

For for the "spam", my head kept on changing the mind on the answers.

1.1) Yes.

1.2) Yes.

1.3) It shouldn't.

2) No. Maybe in the sense the German one is preconffed to use German values and language, which you need to manually change if you wanna switch from German.

3) Yes.

Yes, all languages are released at the same time, but this does not mean that all languages are updated. Some are not, and you will see a mix of a particular language and English in the menus and help.

Use of LO in different languages is mainly the same, but mnemonics for menu items may be different.
