How to use Style Separators in Writer

I have many figures with long-winded captions, and it would help a lot if I could add a Style Separator in between the "title" and the text, so only the title text is observed when a table of contents for figures is generated.

The solution I am looking for is a style separator like the one found here for MS Word.

I have not tried it myself, but appartenly there is a solution (links below) although not as simple as in MS Word.

This a summary for those not following the link.

Short tiltles are written in a Heading x paragraph whose style makes it invisible + Keep with next paragraph. Next paragraph, which becomes the first visible one of the section starts with field insertions for chap./section number and chap./section title then continues with the rest of the long title.
